George Vail has joined Holliday Fenoglio Fowler as a director in the firm's investment sales group. Vail will be responsible for the marketing and placement of commercial transactions throughout the Southeastern U.S. Vail was formerly with DTZ Rockwood, a real estate investment banking firm, where he was responsible for the execution of more than $2 billion in investment sales.

W. Joshua Levering has joined the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors as senior vice president. Levering will be responsible for the daily operations of the firm's Hackensack, N.J. office. Previously, he was with Weichert Commercial Brokerage where he managed the office leasing division.

Paul Twardowski has been promoted to vice president of Hines. He will head the firm's San Diego office and oversee Hines' investments and development activities in the area. Twardowski will also spearhead the development of the La Jolla Commons office building in San Diego.

Steven Jaffe has been promoted to executive vice president and general counsel of BH Properties LLC. He will be responsible for implementing the firm's national acquisition strategy. Previously, Jaffe served BH Properties as director of acquisitions and general counsel.
