National Association of Industrial and Office Properties Thomas J. Bisacquino was appointed president during the organization's annual meeting, held in October in Atlanta. Since 1991, Bisacquino has served as NAIOP's executive vice president and CEO. Previously, he was assistant executive director for the Association for Systems Management in Cleveland.

CarrAmerica Realty Corp. This Washington, D.C.-based firm has promoted Philip L. Hawkins to the position of COO. Hawkins will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of property operations, development, national marketing and human resources. Also announced by OmniOffices Inc., an affiliate of Carr America Realty Corp., was the appointment of Gary M. Kusin to president and CEO. Previously, Kusin was co-founder and chairman of Laura Mercier Cosmetics.

Cushman & Wakefield Leonard F. Helbig III has been named president, financial services, of this international real estate firm. He has been with the firm since 1980 and is a member of the board of directors and the executive committee. Previously, he was executive managing director responsible for financial and asset services.

Institute of Real Estate Management During this Chicago-based professional association's annual convention held in November in Anaheim, Calif., Michael B. Simmons, CPM was appointed president. He is executive vice president and COO of Community Reality Management Inc., in Pleasantville, N.J. He has been with the firm for more than 26 years and is responsible for the company's property management operation.

Hiffman Shaffer Associates Inc. Todd J. Cabanban has been promoted to executive vice president and managing director of the retail brokerage division. Cabanban has more than 10 years of commercial real estate experience. Previously, he was a vice president with the company.

Julien J. Studley Inc. This New York-based real estate firm has promoted Jeffrey D. Hipschman to the newly created position of CIO. Hipschman's responsibilities include the company's information services and implementation of Web and intranet strategies.

Loomis Sayles & Co. LP This investment management firm has elected three new members to its Board of Directors: Mauricio F. Cevallos, Michael J. Millhouse and Sandra P. Tichenor. Cevallos is currently executive vice president of business development and has been with Loomis Sayles' New York office for 14 years. Millhouse is currently managing director of the Core Bond Management Group. Tichenor has been with the firm since 1996 as general counsel.

The Staubach Co. James Underhill has been named COO of Staubach Corporate Services-East. Underhill joined the firm in 1987. He also will continue as president of corporate services-Northeast. Also promoted was Elysia Holt, to COO of Staubach Corporate Services-West. Holt joined the firm in 1989. She will also continue as president of corporate services-Southwest.

Transwestern Property Co. James I. Clark III has been named president of this commercial real estate company's Investment Services Group. Clark's responsibilities include coordinating all investment and real estate activities throughout the United States. He was formerly with Grubb & Ellis Co. and has more than 14 years of real estate experience.

Insignia/ESG Inc. Ronald Uretta has been named COO and treasurer of this commercial real estate firm. He will be responsible for the operations of the international organization and manage the financial and organizational aspects of its subsidiaries.

Partners Title Co. With 25 years of real estate experience, Richard (Dick) Yeager has joined the firm as president and CEO. Yeager's responsibilities will include expanding the firm's residential market and increasing its presence in the commercial arena. Previously, Yeager was president of Commonwealth Land Title of Houston.

Matlow-Kennedy Commercial This Long Beach, Calif.-based commercial real estate brokerage company has promoted Lawrence Thompson to COO. Thompson has over 25 years of diversified commercial real estate experience.

American Financial Title Bo Feagin has been promoted to president of the Dallas-based affiliate of American Title Co. Feagin joined AFT in 1986 and most recently served as senior vice president, specializing in commercial real estate transactions.

Marcus & Millichap The Palo Alto, Calif.-based real estate brokerage company has expanded into the Tampa area and named Steven M. Ekovich vice president/regional manager of the Tampa office. Ekovich joined Marcus & Millichap in 1988 as a sales manager in the Palo AltoCalif., office.

Jameson Inns Inc. The board of directors of the Atlanta-based hotel firm have promoted Craig R. Kitchin to president and CFO. He joined Jameson in 1992 as controller and treasurer. Prior to his promotion, he was serving as vice president of finance and CFO. Tom Kitchin will remain chairman and CEO and will continue to be involved in the day-to-day operations of the company.

GVA Worldwide This New York-based International strategic partnership has named Michael T. Cohen chairman of GVA Worldwide.
