Westcore expands SoCal holdings with San Diego buy

Westcore Industrial Properties, an affiliate of The Shidler Group, Honolulu, has acquired a portfolio of industrial and R&D properties in the Miramar, Sorrento Mesa and Sorrento Valley areas of San Diego for $38.1 million. The San Diego office of Los Angeles-based CB Richard Ellis represented Westcore and the seller, San Diego Investment Property Group. CB Richard Ellis also will lease the San Diego portfolio.

The acquisition includes five separate business parks totaling 537,345 sq. ft. Built between 1978 and 1993, the portfolio includes: Miramar West Business Park, which totals 202,317 sq. ft.; Miramar Trade Center, a 117,831 sq. ft. development; Mira Mesa Business Centre, which totals 99,065 sq. ft.; Torrey Sorrento II, a 57,536 sq. ft. development; and Scripps Miramar Business Park, which totals 60,596 sq. ft.
