City Center Realty, WHI Real Estate Partners Acquire, Plan Redevelopment of 5.44-Acre Site

MINNEAPOLIS—A partnership of City Center Realty Partners L.L.C. (CCRP) and WHI Real Estate Partners L.L.C. (WHIREP) acquired the 5.44-acre former Superior Plating site in the Nicollet Island/East Bank neighborhood near downtown Minneapolis.

Superior Plating filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in November 2011. An affiliate of the partnership provided debtor-in-possession financing to Superior in order to fund decommissioning of Superior’s plating operation and to facilitate the transaction.

The partnership has worked with government and community constituents to set plans for redevelopment of the site.

City Center Realty Partners is a San Francisco-based real estate investor and developer, focused on urban properties throughout the U.S. WHI Real Estate Partners LLC is a Chicago-based investment manager focused on repositioning distressed real estate assets.
