Colliers Hired to Sell or Lease Former Crain HQ

DETROIT—The landlord of the former Crain Communications headquarters, a 78,000-square-foot multitenant building at 1400 Woodbridge St., has hired Colliers International to lease the property or sell it for about $3 million.

The 72-year-old building is within walking distance to the main downtown areas. “What is so unique about this building is the fact that it has over 200 free surface parking spaces, which is almost unheard of in downtown Detroit”, said Vito Castellana, an associate with Colliers.

Castellana is joined by Randall Book, executive vice president and Albert Ellis, senior associate in the representation. Crain, known for publications such as Crain’s Detroit, Crain’s New York and Automotive News, moved to 1155 Gratiot Ave. in the Brewery Park area in 2001.
