Hampshire Takes on Seven Apartments with $109M Loan

PLAINFIELD, IN—The Hampshire Group has acquired about $109 million in financing to acquire a portfolio of seven multifamily properties in Indiana.

Bethesda, Md.-based Walker & Dunlop Inc. provided the Fannie Mae financing. The acquisition loans were structured with 10-year terms with two-years interest only, followed by 30-year amortization periods.

The portfolio consists of seven garden-style properties and 1,842 units located in Plainfield, Brownsburg, Danville, Greenfield, Avon and Fort Wayne. The properties feature
amenities such as a clubhouse, swimming pool, fitness center and private balconies/patios. The buyer and lender did not comment on which properties were purchased, or the name of the seller.
