OAK BROOK, ILL.—Hub Group broke ground on its new, 130,000-sq.-ft. international headquarters building in Oak Brook. It is the town’s first new office building since 2000 and is begin developed by Morgan/Harbour Construction.
Hub Group is relocating its more than 370 employees from Downers Grove and 48 employees from McCook to the new space upon delivery.
Located at 2000 Clearwater Drive, the new facility will include high-efficiency HVAC, energy-efficient lighting controls and storm water harvesting with the intent to be LEED Gold certified when it is completed next year.
The four-story, Class A office facility will have room for growth, with capacity for more than 800 employees. The site will feature natural habitat landscaping, ponds and walking trails for employees.
Founded in 1971, Hub Group is a $2.8 billion asset-light freight transportation management company providing intermodal, truck brokerage and logistics services. The company has more than 1,600 employees and operates a network of offices throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.
