Leo Brown To Break Ground on Seniors Housing

INDIANAPOLIS—The Leo Brown Group will break ground next week on Traditions at Solana, a $17 million seniors housing property at the new Solana at the Crossing residential community.

The Carmel, Ind.-based developer will break ground in early April. Independent Living garden home units will be available to seniors. These two bed, two bathroom maintenance-free garden homes will be located near the entrance to the Traditions at Solana property and will all offer water views. The property will also offer assisted living and memory care.

The project is just to the south of the upscale Keystone at the Crossing retail and office district. Traditions at Solana will be managed by Leo Brown affiliate Traditions Management, who currently operates 162 senior living units throughout Indiana.

Project financing was provided by First Merchants Bank and the National Bank of Indianapolis. The general contractor for the project is the Skillman Corp. Leo Brown will also begin construction this year on three other Midwest seniors housing properties, in Avon, Ind.; Columbus, Ohio and Chicago, with more than 500 units.
