Lewis U. Signs Lease to Relocate Campus

OAK BROOK, IL--Lewis University has signed an 11-year lease to relocate its campus to another building in the city.

The Catholic university, which is sponsored by the De La Salle Christian Brothers, is currently in 15,000 sq. ft. at a building on York Road. The university is doubling its occupancy to 28,360 sf. ft. at 1111 W. 22nd Street. The school will occupy the entire seventh floor with its classrooms, conference rooms, offices, computer lab and a specialized lab for the College of Nursing and Health Professions Adult and Family Nurse Practitioner programs. The company will move in by the spring 2013 semester, said Wayne J. Draudt, executive vice president for Lewis.

“The Oak Brook Regional Campus has seen continuous growth and is also a popular site for daytime activity for many businesses who want an educational setting for their training and meetings,” said Draudt. “We believe this new space will be an opportunity to create a state-of-the-art educational environment for our adult students.”
