New Homewood Opens at Iowa River Landing Project

CORALVILLE, IA—Homewood Suites by Hilton has opened its newest property here in the Iowa River Landing mixed-use development.

The six story, 95-suite hotel at 921 E. Second Avenue is owned by Cantilever Hotels LLC / Lincoln and Lisa McIlravy and managed by Sagacity Inc. The property offers studio, one- and two-bedroom suites, with additional guest amenities including a daily complimentary full hot breakfast in the hotel’s hospitality center, a pool, fully-equipped fitness center, 24-hour executive business center and a 740-sq.-ft. library that can also be used as meeting space.

Iowa River Landing is a 180-acre mixed-use development located on Interstate 80. Perched along the Iowa River, the project is anchored by the 286-room Marriott Hotel and Conference Center and includes more than 330,000 sq. ft. of retail, office, residential and entertainment space, as well as the University of Iowa Health Care’s 150,000-sq.-ft. medical clinic.

The new Homewood will meet the needs of both business and leisure travelers looking for the comforts of home, said General Manager Matthew Traetow. “Homewood Suites’ bundled value offering is an important component that differentiates the hotel; whether that means the space to spread out in all-suite accommodations with fully-equipped kitchens, or the ability to stay productive and relax with complimentary high-speed Internet access and separate living and sleeping areas,” he said.
