Rouse Replaces Sears with Dunhams at Colony Square

ZANESVILLE, OH—Dunham’s Sports has agreed to a 65,000-sq.-ft. anchor lease at Colony Square Mall here, owned by Rouse Properties Inc.

The mall is home to 80 specialty retailers including American Eagle Outfitters, Aeropostale and Victoria’s Secret and features a number of sit-down, casual restaurant chains and a food court. Built in 1981, the 610,000-sq.-ft. shopping center is also anchored by jcpenney, Elder-Beerman and a 12-screen Cinemark Theater. In the past two years, Rouse Properties has added the Children’s Place, Justice and Longhorn Steakhouse to the mall’s lineup.

Brian Harper, executive vice president of leasing for Rouse, says in a statement that the store will replace the former Sears anchor. “This lease was executed within 30 days of Sears’ closing, further exemplifying Rouse’s speed to the market and active management of our portfolio,” Harper says.
