New York CITY – The Thornton Tomasetti board of directors and managing principals announce the promotion of Steve Zuo, P.E. to principal in the Pacific Rim group of the international engineering firm. He is based in the firm’s New York and Beijing offices.
Mr. Zuo has 22 years of experience in the structural design, investigation and review of a variety of building types, including super high-rise towers, office and commercial, residential, sports and public assembly and healthcare facilities, as well as investigation projects.His portfolio includes several recent high-profile projects in China, including Shanghai Tower in Shanghai and the Ping An International Financial Center, Tai Ku Hui Project in Guangzhouand Shangri-La Hotel, all in Shenzhen. He is also co-leader of the firm’s Beijing, China office.
Mr. Zuo is a licensed professional engineer in Ohio. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Hunan University in Changsha and a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Toledo in Ohio.
