ChicagoNational Real Estate Investor will launch its new NREI Live conference series on Nov. 1 in Chicago with a special one-day event exploring the net lease industry’s current state and future direction.

The National Net Lease Investment Conference, to be held at 353 N. Clark Street in Chicago on Nov. 1, 8:00AM to 6:00PM, is being produced by NREI and RetailTraffic.com.

“National Real Estate Investor is the leading brand in the commercial real estate industry. The majority of our readers are CEOs, CFOs, presidents and/or partners,” Penton Media’s Commercial Real Estate Practice Leader Jonathan A. Schein says. “With the launch of NREI Live, our expansion into events will continue to bring leaders from various business industries and all geographic regions together. The National Net Lease Conference in Chicago will set the bar for events to come.”

Following 2011, a robust year during which transaction volume topped $18 billion, the net lease market continued positive trends in 2012. The National Net Lease Investment Conference will look at business opportunities for 2013.

“I’m excited that we are hosting the first annual Net Lease Conference in Chicago,” NREI Publisher Marianne Rivera says. “While there’s been tremendous coverage of net lease on the East and West Coasts, there hasn’t been coverage in the Midwest or my hometown—Chicago. We’re bringing together a stellar group of experts in the Net Lease business. Representatives from all business classes will attend: financers, investors, owners, developers, brokers and retailers. We’re expecting over 150 attendees.”

Keynote speakers Don Resnick, partner at Jenner & Block; Garry Cohen, senior managing director at Mesirow Financial and Heidi Learner, chief economist at Studley will be joined by more than 30 other nationally recognized industry professionals as panelists to discuss such topics as:

• Single-tenant development outlook • Sale-leaseback market overview • Joint venture equity for NNN developers • Single-tenant retailer expansion plans • Research insights on the single-tenant market • DST ownership structures

The full-day conference will include breakfast and cocktail networking sessions.
