NEW JERSEY—TPG Architecture has been tapped by Carlo’s Bakery for the design of its new bakery and café to be located in Ridgewood. The 3,300-sq.-ft. project will include a retail area, café, cake bar, full kitchen and client consult and children’s party rooms.

Currently under construction, the bakery is slated to open later this year.

Carlo’s Bakery’s Ridgewood location will be inspired by the original shop, which was founded in Hoboken in 1910. TPG’s design for the new location includes a retail area with marble counters, glass showcases and European hardwood cabinet.

The cake bar will allow customers to watch bakers decorate their creations. A dedicated consultation area at the rear of the café will provide a place for consultants to meet with customers in person or via a live stream video feed.
