Church of the Resurrection Completes Installation of Solar Array by Solis Partners

NEW JERSEYThe Church of the Resurrection in Delran has completed the installation of a 125-kilowatt, ground-mounted solar array, which will offset approximately 80 percent of the parish’s annual electric use.

Solis Partners completed the project for the church and is the fourth solar installation that Solis has completed within the Catholic Diocese of Trenton, which spans Burlington, Mercer, Monmouth and Ocean counties.

Comprised of 518 panels, the solar array is installed behind the parish center and will produce 165,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity annually.

Solis Partners designs, constructs and operates solar power systems through its full-service Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), which allows the church to receive the benefits of solar electric generation without capital cost.

Under the PPA agreement, Solis Partners retains ownership of the system for 15 years, during which time it will maintain and operate the system. The energy will be sold to the Church of the Resurrection at a discount. After the 15-year term, the parish will have the option to take ownership of the system and receive free electricity for the remaining life of the system.
