Code Environmental Completes Rooftop Solar System Installation

NEW JERSEYCode Environmental Services, an environmental and hazardous waste remediation firm based in Carteret, has completed its installation of a 220-kilowatt rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system.

Designed, engineered and constructed by Manasquan-based Solis Partners, the system will offset approximately 70 percent of Code Environmental's electricity consumption. It is installed on the roof of the company’s 50,000-sq.-ft. corporate headquarters building.

Comprised of 1,104 solar PV panels, the solar system will produce approximately 250,000 kilowatt hours of electricity in the first year of operation, which equates to the reduction of more than 385,000 pounds of CO2 emissions.
