NEW YORK—U.K.-based InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has signed for its second New York City location for its EVEN Hotels brand at 321 West 35th Street in Midtown Manhattan. With an ownership group led by Frank Chan and Lance Steinberg, the IHG-managed hotel will be built ground-up and is slated to open in mid-2015.
It’s the second hotel development for the Chan-Steinberg partnership that are also he owners of the first EVEN Hotel location announced in New York City at 219 East 44th Street. Located in the Garment District, the property will be situated in close proximity to Madison Square Garden, Macy’s Herald Square, the Empire State Building and Times Square.
Upon delivery, the EVEN Hotel at 321 West 35th Street will include 77,000 sq. ft. of space and be comprised of 150 guestrooms and 25 floors. The hotel will also include public workspaces, dining areas and gym.
The EVEN Hotels brand was launched in 2012, and is the first to cater to travelers’ overall wellness needs.
