Massey Knakal Sells Three NYC Properties for $17M

NEW YORK—Massey Knakal has completed the sale of three properties throughout New York City for a combined total of approximately $17 million.

These sales include:

  • The all-cash disposition of a 41-residential condominium unit package situated within The Hopkins Condominium at 172 West 79th Street on Manhattan’s Upper West Side for approximately $16 million. The units, when combined, total more than 40,000 sq. ft. Units contain a mix of one-and two-bedrooms ranging in size from 682 to 1,464 sq. ft. of space.

    The Hopkins Condominium is a 19-story, 98-unit elevator building located in close proximity to the Museum of Natural History and Central Park. Converted to condo ownership in 2004, the property includes a 24-hour doorman, live-in super, laundry room and storage. Massey Knakal’s Guthrie Garvin, vice president, and Paul B. Smadbeck, senior vice president, handled the transaction.
  • The all-cash, $400,000 disposition of 630 Liberty Ave. in Brooklyn. The three-story property, which is currently fully occupied, contains approximately 4,825 sq. ft., as well as approximately 1,305 sq. ft. of commercial space on the ground floor. Its second floor contains a two-bedroom residential unit, while the third floor houses a three-bedroom unit. Massey Knakal’s Edward Gevinski, director of sales, represented the seller in the transaction.
  • The all-cash, $665,000 disposition of 1729 Pitkin Ave., a four-story building containing approximately 8,400 sq. ft. in Brooklyn. It consists of one ground floor store and six residential units, which include three three-bedroom units and three two-bedroom units. Gevinski represented the seller in the transaction.
