NEW YORK—Soundview Cinemas has signed a 25,400-sq.-ft. lease to occupy the vacant space located within the Soundview Marketplace in Port Washington, N.Y. The multiplex is slated to open later this month.
The CBRE team of Vincent LaManna and Bruce Nelson negotiated the lease transaction. CBRE oversees the leasing and management of the 185,000-sq.-ft. community shopping center after being hired as the property’s exclusive agent by the court appointed receiver, Wayne Wink.
“Soundview Cinemas not only replaces the run-down and vacated former theater with a brand new state-of-the-art, fully digital movie theater, but it also provides a strong anchor tenant for the repositioned shopping center,” said LaManna. “The new multiplex theater will boast six technologically advanced screens, new stadium-style seating and a variety of amenities for theatergoers.”
Soundview Marketplace is located at the intersection of Shore Road and Soundview Drive and offers onsite parking. Other tenants at the shopping center include Ace Hardware, West Marine, Rite Aid, GNC, GameStop and HSBC Bank, among others.
