Museum of Mathematics Takes 4,000-Sq.-Ft. Office Lease at 134 West 26th Street

NEW YORK–The Museum of Mathematics has signed a long-term, 4,000-sq.-ft. lease at 134 West 26th Street, the Chelsea Arts Building. The museum will use its space to house its administrative offices within the 100,000-sq.-ft., 12-story loft property owned by President Realty L.L.C. Asking rent for the space was $36 per sq. ft.

The organization is more than doubling its office occupancy from the 1,400 sq. ft. of office space it currently occupies at 134 West 29th Street.

“We had completely outgrown our existing offices, and as we gear up for the grand opening of a spectacular new museum space, it was the ideal time to relocate to larger offices,” said Cindy Lawrence, associate director of the museum.

The Museum of Mathematics will be opening its New York City visitor center later this year at 11 East 26th Street.

Hector Rodriguez of Savitt Partners arranged the transaction.
