NEW YORK—Savanna has donated the use of 8,409 sq. ft. of space at 100 Wall Street to Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC), a nonprofit, cultural events organization that promotesartists and the arts through grants, artists’ residencies, professional development for artists and advocacy. LMCC will use the space for visual artist studios and performing artist rehearsals as well as professional development workshops for artists, until October 2013.
“Savanna is proud to continue its active association with LMCC who for 40 years, has done an exceptional job of ensuring that the cultural fabric of lower Manhattan continues to evolve and become integral to the lives of office tenants and downtown residents,” said Kevin Hoo, VP, Savanna and board member at LMCC. “The mission of LMCC and their success in continuing to reestablish lower Manhattan often goes unnoticed but is essential to developing the sense of community that defines what is undoubtedly one of the world’s most recognizable neighborhoods.”
Standing 29 stories tall 100 Wall Street is a class A office property comprised of 520,000 sq. ft. Situated on Wall Street between Front and Water streets in Manhattan’s Financial District, the property was acquired by Savanna in 2011.
