NEW YORK—Staples has signed a long-term, 15,584-sq.-ft. lease at Atlas Capital’s 641 Sixth Avenue in the Ladies’ Mile district of Chelsea. The new, two-level store will include 4,696 sq. ft. of space on the ground floor and 10,888 sq. ft. in the lower level. Staples is relocating from its current location at 699 Sixth Avenue by December of this year.
RKF Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Robert Futterman, Executive Vice President Gary Alterman and Associate Ross Berkowitz represented landlord Atlas Capital, while Staples was represented by Chase Welles, partner of SCG Retail.
The property offers close proximity to public transport.
