61 Broadway Sold to Broad Street Development for $130.4 Million

A newly formed investor group led by Manhattan real estate investor Raymond Chalme has bought the 33-story Manhattan office building at 61 Broadway for $130.4 million. The deal marks the first acquisition for Broad Street Development, which consists of Chalme and equity partner Heyman Properties.

"The acquisition of 61 Broadway is an exciting opportunity to further support the downtown market, in which we have great faith and experience," says Chalme, who is also principal of JEMB Realty. "We’re excited to control the destiny of this asset and build on our success at a property located in the heart of this prominent business district."

The 653,000 sq. ft. office tower is 85% occupied. Its tenant roster includes law firms, financial firms and non-profit organizations.
