Office REIT ProLogis (PLD) has effectively leased out an entire Dallas-area industrial park. On Friday, ProLogis announced that it had signed two leases for more than 521,000 sq. ft. at its ProLogis Park Mesquite. The park is located at the intersection of Interstate 30 and U.S. 80 in the Dallas area.
The leases were signed with vacuum cleaner manufacturer Bissell Home Care and third party logistics provider Prime Distribution Services. Bissell plans to use a new building at the park as a regional distribution facility.
Prime, meanwhile, plans to use its 260,000 sq. ft. space as its Southwestern distribution center. Both leases bring occupancy up to 100% at the industrial park. The three-year-old ProLogis Park Mesquite will accommodate an added 439,000 sq. ft. once fully developed. Unilever leases more than 440,000 sq. ft. at the park as well.
