Integra Realty Resources’ Kevin Nunnink Passes Away
Kevin K. Nunnink, principal and
chairman of Integra Realty Resources, has died. Kevin was involved in the
valuation, consulting and development business for nearly 30 years. In addition
to owning the Integra’s Kansas City, St. Louis and Chicago offices, Nunnink was
one of the original founders of Integra Realty Resources, a real estate
valuation and counseling companies.
Nunnink has served as the chairman
of the board since the company’s formation in 1999. He was also the CEO
of IRR Corporate & Public Finance. Three years ago, he spearheaded the
launch of IRR-Residential, the parallel residential appraisal services division
of the firm, which he also chaired.
“This is an extremely sad day for our company,” stated Joseph Pasquarella, a
fellow board member. “Kevin was the driving force behind the creation of
Integra Realty Resources. Ten years ago, he had a vision to develop a national
company comprised of the nation’s best commercial real estate appraisers and
counselors. His ideas and footprint are deeply embedded within the organization
and touch almost everyone within the Integra family and its clients.”
Kevin
was an expert in all facets of real estate and was the editor-in-chief of Viewpoint,
Integra’s annual report on national real estate trends.
“Kevin embodied the spirit of Integra. He was the best in his local and
regional market, and he understood how to translate local trends into nationwide
results for our clients,” said Ray Cirz, CEO of Integra. “He firmly believed
that offering above-and-beyond professional efforts across all local and
national markets to provide clients a multitude of valuation and consulting
services would make Integra a success. He continually mentored many of our
managing directors, streamlined the appraisal process, and instituted
consistent research and reporting formats across the entire firm so clients
with large, multi-state portfolios could see concise results.”
“Kevin’s respect and success nationally started in Kansas City. He was a
prominent, highly sought-after professional for nearly 30 years in the business
he built with his wife JoAnn. Kevin was an inspiration to so very many in
the real estate profession,” said Kenneth Jaggers, managing director of the
Kansas City office. “No project or problem was too challenging for Kevin
in his service to developers, investors, lenders, and municipalities. He
conducted an annual real estate seminar attended by hundreds of Kansas City’s
real estate professionals. Kevin was instrumental in bringing a NASCAR
race track, Kansas Speedway, and nearly two million sq. ft. of entertainment
retail development to the Kansas City area.”
Kevin
served as a member of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank’s Board of
Directors. Most recently, he testified before the House Financial Services
Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations’ hearing entitled “Strengthening
Oversight and Preventing Fraud in FHA and Other HUD Programs.”
Kevin
was also a dedicated member of his local community. He was the president
of the board of directors of SAFE (The Surviving Spouse and Family Endowment
Fund), an organization dedicated to supporting the families of local law
enforcement officers, firefighters and emergency services personnel who have
perished while protecting the Kansas City community. He was also involved in
the Kansas City Young President’s Organization, the Heart of American Girl
Scouts and the Johnson County Cancer Society.
“Kevin’s dedication and tireless work ethic helped our newly-formed firm grow
from 23 offices to 50 offices in just 30 months,” said Jeffrey Rogers, president
and COO of Integra. “He was instrumental in the design of the business plan and
the cornerstones that our company was built upon. He was our friend and he will
be dearly missed.” Added Anthony Graziano Sr., “Our hearts go out to all
of Kevin’s family and close friends. Our mission remains the same- to see
Kevin’s vision and efforts continue to blossom long after the pain of his
untimely passing has subsided within us
all.”
Kevin is survived by his wife, JoAnn, and his two children, Brandon and Morgan.
