Medical Property Portfolio Sold

Windrose Medical Properties Trust, an Indianapolis-based medical office REIT, has acquired three specialty hospitals for $26.2 million. The three properties are located in Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.

All told, the portfolio represents more than 169,000 sq. ft. of rentable space. Windrose (WRS) acquired the properties with cash drawn from its available funds. Each hospital is master leased by affiliates of RehabCare Group Inc., St.Louis, a provider of rehabilitation management services for hospitals, nursing homes and other long-term care facilities.
