New York Retail Center Sold

A New York-based hedge fund has acquired a Long Island shopping center. On Thursday, Stillwater Capital announced its acquisition of the Voice Road Plaza shopping center in Carle Place. Voice Road, a 130,000 sq. ft. retail center, sold for $35.35 million. The seller was First Allied Corporation, a Rochester, N.Y.-based company.

“We have been so active acquiring primarily West Coast shopping centers that we feel very fortunate to have found such a wonderful opportunity here on Long Island,” says Ian Deutsch of Voice Road, LLC. Deutsch will operate the property with Stillwater Capital.

The Voice Road shopping center is occupied by a slew of major national tenants. Among them: Big Lots, Staples, Bass Shoes and Party City. The Voice Road Plaza center is located just two blocks from the Roosevelt Field Mall. Roosevelt Field is the fifth largest mall in the continental U.S.
