Animation software gives life to paper architectural plans

As development guidelines become more strict, the market for high-end architectural models is growing — and so is former real estate mapping company SpatialSites in Augusta, Ga. Calling itself the "bridge for understanding between the creative renderings of designers or architects and the pragmatic orientation of the technical community," the firm has expanded its focus to three-dimensional modeling and digital animation, providing interactive models of blueprints and artist renderings.

SpatialSites’ models combine engineering and architectural plans with aerial photography and digital topography, and the latest modeling and mapping software. SpatialSites clients include Scottsdale, Ariz.-based, Allied Waste Industries Augusta, Ga.-based Blanchard & Calhoun Real Estate Co. and T&F Development Co.
