According to a statement from the company, Peacock’s resignation was based on a personal decision to spend more time with his family. The firm is beginning its search for a new CEO immediately, according to the statement.

"On behalf of the board of directors, I would like to sincerely thank Chris for his more than 30 years of committed service to the firm," Scott said in the statement. "I am pleased that Chris will serve the company on a consultative basis for the immediate future."
