Cushman & Wakefield signs two brokers from Grubb & Ellis

Britt Casey and Linda Biedron — previously members of Grubb & Ellis’ industrial services group — have joined Cushman & Wakefield’s Chicago office as industrial specialists.

Casey, a million-dollar producer, was hired as senior director of the firm’s suburban Chicago office in Rosemont, Ill. Biedron assumed the title of industrial client services manager.

The moves are the latest in the employee shuffle that has been occurring in some of the country’s biggest brokerages.

The top office leasing broker in New York, Mary Ann Tighe, joined the fray this summer and jumped to CB Richard Ellis. Newmark & Co. Real Estate took advantage of the special times to expand into new markets by hiring experienced brokers from other firms. In Atlanta, Newmark hired practically the entire Julien J. Studley office, picking off more than 20 people, from the top executive — regional manager Neal Golden — to the administrative assistant.
