Duke-Weeks Realty announces departure of Ray Weeks; name change

Indianapolis – Locally based Duke-Weeks Realty Corp. recently announced the resignation of Ray Weeks as vice chairman of the company’s board of directors. There are no current plans to fill the vacancy, which leaves a 13-member board – nine of whom are independent.

The company also changed its corporate name to Duke Realty Corp., effective yesterday. As part of the July 2,1999 merger between locally based Duke Realty Investments and Atlanta-based Weeks Corp., it was agreed that Duke-Weeks Realty Corp. would serve as a temporary name to leverage the regional brand equity each company had created.
