MARY BRIGGS has been appointed managing director of advisory services for Chicago-based Cohen Financial. In her new role, Briggs will grow Cohen Financial's advisory services by providing capital solutions to Cohen's client companies. Briggs most recently was president and co-founder of Briggs Wengert Associates. She will be based in Cohen Financial's San Francisco office.

PAUL AMRICH has been named director of brokerage services for New York-based Cushman & Wakefield. He previously was associate director. Based in the Midtown Manhattan office of Cushman & Wakefield, Amrich specializes in tenant and landlord representation, and has leased more than 5 million sq. ft. of commercial property in Midtown since joining the firm in 1995.

DEAN SUKEENA has joined the national title services division of Houston-based Stewart Title Guaranty Co. as a national business development officer. In his new position, Sukeena will focus on affiliated business arrangements. Sukeena has 15 years of experience in the mortgage banking industry, including origination and loan servicing and securitization.

EDWARD LAPUMA has been appointed managing director of the acquisitions group and chief acquisitions officer of New York-based W.P. Carey Intl. LLC. LaPuma will oversee the expansion of the W.P. Carey Group. He also will continue in his role as president of the W.P. Carey REIT Carey Institutional Properties Inc. LaPuma joined W.P. Carey in July 1994 as assistant to the chairman.
