NAMES IN THE NEWS

CHARLES H. MAY II has joined CBL & Associates Properties Inc. as senior vice president of development. May will focus on new mall developments, open-air and lifestyle developments, and acquisitions and expansion opportunities, primarily in the western part of the U.S. Most recently, May served as a leader for Sears' real estate department. He also has worked as senior attorney, general counsel and as a leader in the development division of Homart Development Co.

DON MILLER has been named chief real estate officer for Wells Real Estate Funds. Miller is the former head of real estate operations for Lend Lease Corp., and also previously directed Lend Lease's Midwest region and the hotel investment group. In his new role, Miller will direct Wells' acquisitions, dispositions, property management, construction and leasing groups.

SCOTT TAYLOR has been named executive vice president and COO of Carter & Associates. In his new role, Scott will create new investment opportunities for Carter, as well as develop business opportunities within each of Carter's business units. Prior to joining Carter, Scott was president of Holder Properties, where he was responsible for leading strategic initiatives and business development.

MARK IAMMARINO has been promoted to vice president and director of suburban operations for Turner Construction Co. Iammarino will be responsible for business development and operations of all suburban construction projects. Iammarino joined Turner's Cleveland office in 1983 as a field engineer. He also has worked in the special projects division and as manager of purchasing. He will be based in the Arlington Heights, Ill office.
