JOHN BUSI has been named executive managing director of Cushman & Wakefield. He will be responsible for the national operations of valuation services, the appraisal arm of Cushman & Wakefield's advisory group. In his new role, Busi's responsibilities include national initiatives and strategies, marketing and new business development, and managing appraisal accounts.
IRA BLOOM has joined the newly formed Kushner Properties, an affiliate of Kushner Cos., as director of commercial leasing. In his new position, Bloom will oversee Kushner Properties' leasing program, examine prospective tenants for vacancies and analyze the tenant mix and market potential for new acquisitions. Bloom joined Kushner Cos. in 2000 and has served in both the management and leasing divisions of the commercial department.
MARK RIEKER has joined Advantis Real Estate Services Co. as director of development, management and construction services for Advantis/GVA in the Florida market. Previously, Rieker was vice president of project and development services at Jones Lang LaSalle and vice president of design and construction for the Southeast region of the Pizzuti Cos.
KARRA PARKER GUESS has been named COO of Southwest corporate services for The Staubach Co. In her new role, Guess will oversee all non-revenue operations of the group, including office management, accounting and budgeting, human resources and general administration. Previously, Guess was employed by Coopers & Lybrand, now Pricewaterhouse Coopers.
