Ground Zero office tower 7 World Trade Center has signed its second office tenant. On Wednesday, financial services firm Ameriprise Financial committed to a 10-year lease for 20,000 sq. ft. of space within the lower Manhattan office tower. In mid-December, the New York Academy of Sciences signed a 40,000 sq. ft. lease at 7 World Trade Center. Thatrepresented the first signed lease at the 1.8 million sq. ft. property.
“We are pleased to announce another lease at 7 World Trade Center,” says Josef Mittleman, chief operating officer at Silverstein Properties, which developed the building. “I want to thank theand attorneys who helped bring about this transaction.”
Minneapolis-based Ameriprise currently occupies space in lower Manhattan, but plans to consolidate its employees at 7 World Trade Center by this summer. The building will officially open in March.
