ATLANTA --Cousins Properties Inc.’s R. Dary Stone has decided to step down from his post as president and COO of the Atlanta-based REIT. Stone cited family considerations as the reason for his decision.
"The company, the job and Atlanta have all been wonderful but Texas is the right place for my wife and four kids while they are still of school age," Stone said in a statement.
Stone will assume responsibility for Cousins’ Texas operations and remain on the company’s board of directors.
The REIT, which boasts a portfolio of 13.3 million sq. ft. of office space and 3.1 million sq. ft. of retail space, actively invests in office and retail space, medical office space and land development projects.
