SILVER SPRING, Md. – Vienna, Va.-based Atlantic Realty Cos. has leased nearly half of its 14-story building at 8757 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, Md.
Social & Scientific Systems Inc., represented by Philip McCarthy and Keith Forey of Transwestern Commercial Services, has leased 88,230 sq. ft. to consolidate its offices on the 9th through 12th floors. J&E Associates, a local firm represented by John Duffy of Transwestern, has leased 5,906 sq. ft. on the 4th floor.
Howard Jensen of Atlantic Realty and Andrew Masters of Insignia/ESG represented the landlord of the 245,000 total sq. ft. building in both transactions.
TUCON Construction LLC, which is contracting the year-long project, has nearly completed $20 million of renovations that includes new mechanical and electrical systems, lobbies and restrooms, as well as ADA compatibility. A 1,200-space parking garage is located next to the building.
