Freddie Mac official joins NMHC

David B. Cardwell, a senior manager for product development at McLean, Va.-based Freddie Mac, will join the Washington, D.C.-based National Multi Housing Council (NMHC) on May 7 as vice president of finance and technology. He will oversee the council’s technology initiatives, manage NMHC technology conferences and produce strategic business information on technology. Cardwell will also have principal responsibility at the council over apartment housing and finance issues.

Cardwell brings more than 15 years of housing and finance experience to the council. Other positions that he held at Freddie Mac include manager of loan production and product development, and manager of the company’s Community Development Investment Group. Prior to joining Freddie Mac, Cardwell worked in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Office of Affordable Housing Programs.
