Optical Communication Products acquires 142,000 sq. ft. of office, R&D space

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – Optical Communication Products Inc. (OCP), Chatsworth, Calif., has acquired 142,000 sq. ft. of office and R&D space in the Warner Center area here for $18.7 million. OCP, a fiber optic subsystems and network manufacturer, plans to occupy the building by the end of this year. Optical Communications will use the space primarily for offices, and expand its manufacturing presence nearby.

OCP was represented by Jerry Scullin and Kevin Cooper of Van Nuys, Calif.-based Delphi Business Properties, and by Mark Sullivan and Jonathan Wechsler of Julien J. Studley Inc. Toibb Elins Properties, the seller, was represented by Kevin Tamura and Keith Green of Daum Commercial Real Estate Services. Two previous tenants will continue to lease 65,000 sq. ft.
