To Western Realco, size does matter

ONTARIO, Calif. — Newport Beach, Calif.-based Western Realco is developing a 1.1 million sq. ft., $37 million spec distribution park in the Inland Empire. The new park, Airport Mission Business Park, will occupy a 57-acre site adjacent to Ontario International Airport.

Developed in partnership with Times Square Real Estate Investors, Airport Mission Business Park will include a 857,000 sq. ft. "mega distribution center," a 168,000 sq. ft. building and a 102,000 sq. ft. facility. Groundbreaking is scheduled for June. The 857,000 sq. ft. distribution center is one of the largest spec industrial buildings ever to be built in the Western United States. The giant mega DC will feature 30-foot interior clearance, a 195-foot concrete truck court, 140 on-site trailer parking spots and more than 120 dock-high loading doors.

Last year, Western Realco built an 817,500 sq. ft. facility in Fontana, Calif., that was leased to Home Shopping Network.
