PRESS RELEASE: Blancato Jewelry Sparkles with Expansion Space at 64 W 48th Street

NEW YORK CITY - Muss Development LLC has arranged a long-term, full-floor expansion and relocation for Frank Blancato LLC at 64 West 48th Street, the developer’s 17-story, 130,000-square-foot office building near Rockefeller Center.

Frank Blancato — a noted jeweler who currently leases approximately 3,918 square feet on the 16th floor — is expanding and relocating within the building. The tenant will vacate its existing quarters and move into the entire 8,866-square-foot 7th floor in January, pending build-out of the space.

With this latest transaction, the property — which continues to benefit from a multimillion dollar capital improvement program — has only 6,079 square feet of rentable office space remaining.

Renovations to the building include a beautifully restored lobby, new elevator cabs and common areas, new windows, upgraded facade and roof, new HVAC systems, electrical system upgrades, new bathrooms, upgraded security systems, and keycard access.

“Quality office space in a prime Midtown location is always in demand,” said Muss Development Principal Jason Muss. “The capital improvements we have made are clearly resonating with a diversity of new and existing tenants. We now have only 6,000 square feet of remaining space in the building, and anticipate being fully leased by the end of the year.”

Other tenants in the building include Xerox, Weight Watchers, On Press Graphics, Document Technologies, Inc., Safari Jewelry of USA, Inc., Shrenuj USA LLC, Antfarm Photography, KC Diamonds, World of Travel, and sporting goods retailer City Sports.

Ross Spitalnick, of Muss, arranged the Frank Blancato transaction.

With an unrivaled location, 64 West 48th Street is situated between Grand Central Station, Rockefeller Center, Penn Station, and Bryant Park, and just 50 steps from the subway entrance to the B, D, F, and M lines and Sixth Avenue, and one block from the N, R, and W subway lines. The area offers an unparalleled shopping experience with exclusive shops and department stores nearby and the indoor mall beneath Rockefeller Center. A nearly endless array of dining options makes the building an ideal location for corporate tenants who entertain clients.
