CHICAGO—MB Real Estate is pleased to announce the completion of the build-out for Heartland Alliance’s new space at 208 S. LaSalle in Chicago. MB Real Estate’s Project Services division led by David Graff, senior vice president and Brian Toenjes, project manager oversaw the construction process.

The 37,000 square foot build-out features the introduction of new standards to maximize space efficiencies and foster a collaborative work environment while maintaining appropriate levels of privacy. The construction featured the addition of private offices, large open work areas, conference rooms and breakout spaces.
“Heartland’s new office represents an extremely efficient and functional design,” said Graff. “It allows for open collaboration between the team members, but also provides the privacy necessary for many of the sensitive issues the organization deals with on a daily basis.”
Heartland Alliance is a human rights and services organization helping people living in poverty or danger improve their lives and realize their human rights. The group provides access to and assistance with housing, healthcare, economic opportunities and the justice system. Heartland Alliance was founded in Chicago in 1888 where it remains headquartered to this day.
ICG provided the construction services for the project and Baumann Studios was the architect. MB Real Estate’s Andrew Davidson, executive vice president/managing director and David Burkards, senior vice president of the Corporate Services group represented the tenant in the lease negotiations earlier this year.
