PRESS RELEASE: Joe LaFico Joins Kennedy Wilson

HOUSTON - Joe LaFico has joined the international real estate investment and services firm Kennedy Wilson as managing director of operations and asset management in its Houston office.

An industry veteran with over 30 years of experience, LaFico will be assisting a team of property and asset managers in evaluating, operating and managing various types of third party assets for a wide variety of clients in his new position. LaFico, who will be working with regional managing director Doug Hause, will oversee transactional work including special asset and REO services as well as extensive capital project and tenant improvement construction and development supervision.

“Joe is no stranger to our firm as he has worked for one of our largest clients, U.S. Bank, for over 20 years as vice president/OREO department head,” said Jim Rosten, president of KW Properties Group, the commercial brokerage and property management division of Kennedy Wilson. “His experience, coupled with a complete understanding of the market, makes him extremely valuable to us and our clients.”

Prior to joining U.S. Bank, LaFico was the department head of OREO at FBOP Corporation, a national bank holding company acquired by U.S. Bank in 2009. During the time spent at FBOP, LaFico’s notable projects included the redevelopments of three office buildings where his team received two BOMA (Toby) Awards and one NAIOP Award of Excellence.

LaFico holds a bachelor’s degree of business administration in marketing and management and a minor in accounting from Texas State University. He holds a real estate broker’s license in the state of Texas and is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Association of Commercial Real Estate Professionals (ACRP), and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).
