PRESS RELEASE: MB Real Estate's Purcell Named to Leadership Greater Chicago

CHICAGO — MB Real Estate is pleased to announce that Kevin Purcell, executive vice president and COO has been named to the Leadership Greater Chicago's Fellows Class of 2014. This is the 30th class for the organization which will explore the challenges and problems facing metropolitan Chicago, meet with senior business and civic leaders and participate in a variety of strategic networking and community site visits.
 
Leadership Greater Chicago is the only organization in the Chicago area that brings together diverse leaders from the business, professional, nonprofit and government sectors to examine issues facing the metropolitan community. Purcell is one of 37 Fellows which were selected from more than 100 candidates through the nomination process.
 
“I am very grateful for this opportunity,” said Purcell. “I look forward to the experiences and opportunities that this year will bring, but more importantly I look forward to learning new ways to contribute to the continual improvement of our great city.”
 
Leadership Greater Chicago (LGC) is a nonprofit civic leadership organizations founded in 1983 that has to date more than 900 Fellows. Approximately 35 individuals from diverse backgrounds participate in the Fellows Program annually, representing business, civic, nonprofit and government sectors. The Fellows Program provides a foundation for a lifelong commitment to civic engagement by educating members about key issues facing the Chicago region and challenging leaders to bring about positive change in the community. Following the year-long program, Fellows remain active with LGC through extensive educational programming, networking events and exclusive opportunities to meet local and national leaders. The organization’s influence is apparent throughout the region – and beyond. LGC Fellows have taken the mantle of leadership at all community levels – from local neighborhoods to city government to Washington, D.C., and continue to represent the best in civic leadership and positive change for the region.
