ROSEMONT, IL – Jeffrey A. Raday, P.E., President of McShane Construction Company, is pleased to announce that the firm has completed Hamilton on the Park, a 36-unit, affordable housing rental complex on behalf of developer, The Benoit Group in partnership with the Housing Authority of Champaign County. The townhome style development is located on a two-acre land parcel at 1201 Brookstone Court in Urbana, Illinois, situated in close proximity to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The centralized location of the development provides easy access to public transportation, a hospital, retail, restaurants and government facilities.
McShane Construction completed six wood frame buildings that comprise Hamilton on the Park artfully arranged around a central driveway that provides 40 parking spaces. Designed and constructed to meet Enterprise Green Communities criteria, the two-story residential buildings feature one-, two- and three-bedroom units that incorporate energy efficient windows, low VOC products and Energy Star appliances.
The multi-family rental development also provides tenant amenities such as a one-story community building that houses management offices, meeting and gathering spaces and a media room. McShane Construction also completed an outdoor playground and seating areas for the residents of Hamilton on the Park.
