PRESS RELEASE: Reed Construction Completes Renovations for eTrade in Willis Tower

CHICAGO - Reed Construction is pleased to announce that the firm has completed an 11,000 square foot interior renovation for E*Trade (NASDAQ: ETFC) at 233 S. Wacker (Willis Tower) in Chicago.

E*Trade, a financial services company that provides online brokerage and related products primarily for individual retail investors, is relocating its offices to the Willis Tower from 440 S. LaSalle. Reed Construction was hired to complete the interior build-out which included the demolition of the existing space to accommodate a new open floor plan. E*Trade’s new space features nine perimeter offices with large glass sidelites and televisions as well as three open office areas for traders and staff. The new space also includes two conference rooms with video conferencing capabilities.

“In order to accommodate E*Trade’s move-in date and the open bell of the trading day, the construction schedule was condensed into 5-1/2 weeks from start to finish,” said Kyle Fread, project manager for Reed Construction. “Having completed numerous time sensitive projects in the Loop for clients over the years, our team relied on their resources and expertise to finish the job on-time for the traders.”

Kyle Fread was the project manager and Mark Zolen was the project superintendent for Reed Construction. NELSON provided the architectural services. CBRE served as the construction manager.
