PRESS RELEASE: Retailers Blow into the Windy City

CHICAGO — In response to an increase in client demand for Midwest retail tenant representation expertise, Jones Lang LaSalle(JLL) today announced it has added Adam Codyto its platform. Cody joins the firm as a Vice President based in Chicago. He will partner with Executive Vice Presidents Lew Kornberg and Walter Wahlfeldt to expand the firm’s retail tenant representation capabilities.

“Chicago’s improving economy, driven by population and job growth, has revitalized consumer spending. As the Chicago retail market makes a comeback, national and local retailers alike are seeking to expand their footprints and capitalize on the upswing,” said Kornberg. “The addition of Adam to our practice will advance our ability to better serve our clients expansion goals throughout the Midwest.”

Cody joins JLL from SRS Real Estate Partners with more than a decade of experience negotiating more than 110 sale and lease transactions in the Chicago metro area on behalf of tenants. His expertise in supporting national retailers on all aspects of their portfolio includes expansions and dispositions, go-to market site selection and relocations, and new and existing lease transactions for retailers such as Discount Tire, JCPenney, Toys “R” Us, Verizon Wireless, 7-Eleven, Corner Bakery and AutoNation. He graduated from University of Illinois with a bachelor of economics degree. He is an active member in the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and is the co-chair for ICSC’s Chicago Next Generation planning committee
