PRESS RELEASE: Ross Stores Opens 24 New Locations

Pleasanton, CA - Ross Dress for Less (“Ross”), the nation’s largest off-price apparel and home fashion chain with 1,130 stores in 33 states, the District of Columbia and Guam opened 24 new locations on Friday, October 11th, one of which is a relocation of its Pearl Ridge, Hawaii store.  These openings are part of the retailer’s 2013 expansion program, totaling 65 new locations during the year. Including this latest group of new stores, Ross now operates 1,154 locations.

“This opening group completes our Ross Dress for Less expansion plans for 2013 as we continue to focus on increasing our presence in both our newer and existing markets,” said Jim Fassio, President and Chief Development Officer.

Four of the new Ross stores opened in Illinois, three in Missouri and one in Indiana as the retailer continues its growth in new markets it has entered over the past two years. In addition, four stores opened in Texas, as Ross continues to expand in its second largest state where it now operates 166 locations. Two stores opened in California, its largest state with 254 stores, two in Florida, its third largest state, with 137 stores and two stores in North Carolina.  Single stores were added to Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.
