CHICAGO – Transwestern’s Chicago office today announced it brokered the sale of Oak Brook Technology Center on behalf of an undisclosed seller. The 194,178-square-foot, two-building office complex is located at 800 and 810 Jorie Blvd. in Oak Brook, Ill., and was purchased by Server Farm for $16,250,000. The property was 66 percent leased at the time of sale.
“Oak Brook Technology Center drew very strong interest from data center investors,” said Gary Nussbaum, managing director of Transwestern. “The property offers access to an enormous quantity of fiber, communications providers and electrical service which meet the demands of a first class data center facility.”
The property is ideal for users of data centers, communications switches, network sites, co-location facilities, call centers, disaster recovery and NOC facilities. Current tenants include XO Communication, NaviSite, Zayo and U.S. Signal.
The seller was exclusively represented by Transwestern’s Nussbaum and Thomas Gorman, managing director, and David Matheis, senior associate. Server Farm represented itself in the transaction.
