LOS ANGELESStan Johnson Company, a leading real estate brokerage and advisory firm specializing in single-tenant, net lease investment sales, announced it has hired Sam Alison, a 19-year veteran in commercial real estate. Alison will become the firm’s West Coast regional director.
Alison will oversee the firm’s brokerage teams in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Phoenix. His responsibilities include growing the company’s presence in the region through an increase in transactions and recruiting experienced brokers.  In 2014, the firm hopes to expand the West Coast presence with several brokers to the offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Phoenix.
Alison will represent and support clients, including individual investors, developers, public institutions and private equity firms, with the acquisition and disposition of net lease properties locally, regionally and nationally.

Alison previously served as senior vice president for CBRE in Los Angeles where he specialized in investment sales and acquisitions of retail properties.  During his time at CBRE, Alison completed deals encompassing more than 15 million square feet and valued at more than $3 billion.  He previously held positions at Weyerhaeuser Mortgage Company, Trammell Crow Company and Exxon Corporation.
Alison holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor's degree from Georgia Tech.  He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Harvard Business School Association. Alison is active in several community organizations including American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) and Little League.
